Volume 01: Phases

"Daddy made you your favorite, open wide". Content has been created, and it is up to us to consume. Collaboration is the theme over here, artists working with artists for the sake of uplifting each other, having fun, and innovating on their style. Phases is the first issue in a monthly zine that will feature a cast of rotating friends, performers and maybe even goblins that I have come across in my travels, from all walks of life. Along with their work, we also take some deeper dives into their lives, their tastes, and how they feel about the political climate in the Sudan region. With rotating variety pieces like advice columns from high school counselors, word searches, and QR codes with peepholes where anything goes, we promise to keep things interesting.

On a personal note, this is the first project I've committed to and completed, thanks to a team of friends who pushed me and corralled my hectic ideas into something moldable and beautiful. This is their project as much as mine, and every month after that this will continue to be the case. Phases was originally the name of a chapbook that I never finished, and it feels like poetry to have its next phase here. Thank you for your support, always.
